Sunrise at the CSI Arizona Shop

After several years of market research, CSI determined that Arizona held the best potential to expand our footprint.  The Phoenix fabrication market was booming, and we were looking for an opportunity to open a service center that was close to our customers and could address their equipment needs quickly and efficiently.  Carl Jamison Jr., a Texas native, had been managing our Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania service center and we asked him to go set up a shop in Tucson, Arizona.  The University of Arizona Tech Park offered us the opportunity to open a shop that was close enough to our customers to provide first-class service and support.  In January of 2023, we opened the 7000 SQ FT CSI Arizona Service and Repair center.  CSI Arizona has 1200 pieces of orbital welding equipment at our Arizona shop that are ready for use!  Using our courier service, we are able to send and receive items either same day or next day.

During 2024, CSI Tucson processed 1,324 pieces of equipment.  In the first quarter of 2025 the Arizona shop processed 334 pieces of CSI equipment.  Our staff in the Arizona shop work hard every day and make sure our customers receive our industry-leading service and support!

Our staff in the Arizona shop is dynamic and always moving so we would like to take the opportunity to introduce them.

Xavier Villanueva came to us with a wealth of experience in everything from welding to customer service and sales.  He’s worked in warehouses and quality control.  He joined the orbital staff in 2024 and has already proven to be an amazing addition to the team handling inventory, equipment and moving into our shop lead position. Xavier is a dedicated family man and recently got married and bought a house in Tucson.

Carl Jamison Jr.  Carl has been with Critical Systems for 10 years.  He is an accomplished orbital welding equipment repair technician who has worked on everything from facing tools to power supplies.  Carl’s outside box thinking means he is willing to try just about anything during his equipment evaluations.  Carl’s approach to dealing with customers and their needs is first rate.  Carl loves the outdoors and has found some truly breathtaking scenery in Arizona!

David Martinez is a talented welder and brazier who came to us with 15 years of experience with welding and brazing. He quickly learned how to be an excellent orbital welding equipment repair technician.  David is a dedicated family man and a Tucson native who loves Taco Bell. David is also a huge Diamond Backs fan!

The Arizona staff are some of the hardest working men I’ve had the pleasure of working with and they make a difference at CSI every day!
