2023 in Review: Orbital

Boise, ID: The Boise location is headquarters for Critical Systems Orbital Technologies group. Over 2023, the Boise location provided equipment, logistical support, and training to our other two locations as well as customers across the United States and in Canada. In addition to maintaining a rental fleet, the shop has also become the center of research and development here at Critical Systems. CSI believes innovation is the key to success and growth. The Boise staff worked hard on getting our new CSI IPS-200 power supplies ready for use on the job site. They’ve also been working hard on some developing technology and processes that could change the med gas installation industry! Stay tuned for more details.

Shrewsbury PA: Critical Systems continues to support Orbital welding on the East Coast with an Equipment Depot and service center in Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania. CSI Shrewsbury has been providing orbital welding support for over 10 years. Our shop manager Kayla Brown added a logistics coordinator to the staff in 2023. Additionally, the Shrewsbury shop became the staging area for deployment of our new CSI IPS200 power supply. KSI desperately needed equipment to conduct a shut down at the AztraZenica facility in Maryland. We were able to provide them with 30 brand new orbital welding power supplies, all the equipment they needed, and training on using the new power supplies.

Tucson AZ: In January 2023, Critical systems opened an Equipment Depot/Repair shop located at the University of Arizona Tech Park. Carl Jamison Jr., shop manager began immediately shipping and receiving CSI rental equipment and providing customer repairs. Business hasn’t slowed down since we opened the door. In June we added a second repair technician and based on the volume of equipment they are seeing; we will be adding a 3rd technician soon.

Our goal at Critical Systems Orbital Technology Group is to rent equipment that stays on the jobsite, not on the repair table. Each piece of equipment you rent from us has received a full evaluation and service each time it’s returned, it’s been cleaned, repaired, and tested before it’s available to rent again. With over 53 years combined experience repairing AMI and Tri-Tool equipment, we’ve seen some things.

Overall, 2023 was a big year for Critical Systems Orbital Technologies Group, and 2024 is already off to a roaring start. We added another technician in Boise and one in Shrewsbury. CSI will be expanding our nationwide footprint with another location to be announced soon. stay tuned!
